Pigs

And so they arrived, this huge mamouth type pig with gaping jaws... (Bob) and the little horses were scared... and then came Wonky.. ....Where are they from? - Mangalitza pigs originate form Austria/Hungary - ours came from up the road in France! - We just wanted a couple of pigs which we wouldn't eat, to turn over patches of land so we could plant potatoes, carrots etc ....

The Mangalitza is a very slow growing pig so is of no use commercially - it takes about 3 years for them to reach their full size. They are born with stripes like their very close relative the wild boar...The colouration of our pigs is called 'swallow bellied' and is one of the rarest colours.
